Australia - Wallaman Falls, Jourama Falls & Paluma

Jourama Falls is at the end of a long bumpy dirt road.  We got there, but one of our wheel trims to the hire car didn't - whoops!


It was quite pretty as the sun went down

Cyclone Yasi, earlier in the year, had decimated parts of southern Queensland

This is Wallaman Falls.


It's quite a drop from the top, 268m, in fact

Which makes it the highest drop falls in Australia

Not that everyone appreciated the gravity of the fact, nor paid attention to the signs to keep clear of the edge.....

The road to Paluma was deadly, but very pretty
Paluma was very popular with the locals on a weekend.  Lots of rockpools all down the river, with stunning views looking out from the mountainside out to sea
