| Hanmer Springs is between Kaikoura and Christchurch and as its name suggests, has thermal springs |

| It has the Hanmer Fault running under it, which is responsible for the springs.....and the occasional tremor |

| As throughout NZ, the jetboat is never far away and can take you up and down the river on tour. It's a NZ invention and allows the boat to go in very shallow water, as it doesn't have an underwater propellor, shooting water out behind the boat from above the waterline |

| And up Conical Hill near the town centre you had 360 degree views |

| After only 10 months, his Teva sandals were knackered, but they still outlasted my poorly built Merrell ones which broke after only 6 months. Certainly not worth the £90 I paid for them.. |
